Man charged with modern slavery offence in South Ockendon drug investigation

Charges follow an investigation by anti-drug officers

A 36-year-old man has been charged with a modern slavery offence, alongside drug-related charges in South Ockendon.

Luke Clements, of Araglen Avenue, was arrested on Thursday 27th November as part of an investigation by Operation Raptor officers into a suspected drug line in the area.

He has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine, being concerned in the supply of cannabis, and arranging or facilitating the travel of another person with the view of exploitation.
