Man charged over stabbing in Colchester
A man in his 20s suffered a stab wound to his leg earlier this month
A man has been charged following a serious assault in the Greenstead area of Colchester earlier this month.
Essex Police were alerted to Tamarisk Way on the Greenstead Estate at 4.15pm on 8th April after receiving reports of an assault on a man in his 20s.
The victim sustained a stab wound to his leg and was subsequently hospitalised.
Following the incident, detectives conducted investigations and circulated images of two men they were seeking.
Layton Blaize, 20, from Eastwood Old Road, Leigh-on-Sea, was apprehended in Norfolk earlier this week.
He has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, involvement in crack cocaine supply, and failing to appear at court.
Blaize is scheduled to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (22 April).
Authorities are still appealing for information to locate another man wanted in connection with the assault.
