Man charged over fatal collision on A12

A man has been charged in connection to a fatal collision on the A12 in October last year.
Emergency services were called to the incident shortly after 9.30am on 22 October 2024 after a collision which involved three cars; a grey VW Polo, a black Mercedes E220 and a grey Mercedes CLA 200.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, 58-year-old Norman Case, the driver of a VW Polo, sadly died at the scene.
The driver of the black Mercedes was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and subsequently released under investigation.
Ismaeel Malik, 22, of Bledlow Ridge, in High Wycombe, has now been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today (25 February). He is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 25 March.
