Man arrested after Hatfield Peverel break-ins

An arrest has been made with a man in custody in connection with homes being broken into in Hatfield Peverel.

Police were called to reports of a man with a dog in a garden of an address in Prospect Close at around 4.05pm on New Year’s Day.

A 44 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.

An officer also reported being bitten by a dog and the man has also been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control.
