Man arrested after fatal Purleigh crash
He's been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs
Detectives investigating a fatal collision in Purleigh are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Officers were called to the scene of a one-vehicle collision, in Hackmans Lane, shortly after 2.30am on Monday 6 January.
Sadly, a man, aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family have been informed.
A second man, aged in his 20s, from Brentwood, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
He has been released under investigation while our enquiries continue.
Officers are asking anyone with relevant dashcam footage to get in contact.
