A man in his 70s has been arrested - and released - as investigations continue into a firearms incident in Clacton.

Police were called to reports of someone threatening people with a pistol at St Osyth Road East in Little Clacton shortly after 4.30pm on Saturday (14th December).

Armed officers were sent to the scene.

A subsequent search recovered two air rifles and a BB gun.
