M25 shut in Essex after serious crash

Diversion routes are in place

The M25 is closed both directions in Essex between J29 for Hornchurch and J28 for Brentwood due to a collision.

Emergency services are on scene dealing with the incident.

We're told there's delays of around 80 minutes.

There are diversions in place.

Drivers travelling anti-clockwise are advised to follow the Hollow Square diversion symbol on road signs:

From M25 Junction 29 exit slip roundabout take 1st exit onto A127 towards London.

Follow A127 and at “Gallows Corner” Junction bear left.

At the roundabout take the 4th exit onto A12 towards Harwich.

Follow the A12 and take the M25 exit slip.

Take the 1st exit at M25 J28 roundabout.

Re-join M25.

Drivers travelling anti-clockwise are advised to follow the Hollow Triangle diversion symbol on road signs:

From M25 Junction 28 exit slip roundabout take the 4th exit onto A12 towards London.

Follow the A12 to “Gallows Corner” junction.

At the A12/A127 roundabout take the 41st exit onto A127 towards Southend.

Take the M25 exit slip.

Take the 3rd exit at M25 J29 roundabout.

Re-join M25.
