The M25 is expected to re-open this morning (25 February) after a lorry crash caused massive delays in Essex on Monday (24 February).

The crash, which involved two lorries occurred anti-clockwise, and took out a power line which required immediate attendance by engineers across both carriageways to make safe.

The collision led to the closure of the motorway in both directions between J28 (Brentwood) and J27 (M11).

Essex Police say there were no reports of any injuries.

Highways England gave and update at around 5am this morning, explaining that UK Power Networks will return tomorrow evening to complete overhead cable repairs.

Resurfacing anti-clockwise is complete, however a Lane 1 closure will remain for barrier repairs. The clockwise side is aiming to re-open by 6am.
