London Southend Airport ranks second in the UK for shortest delay times
Its according to CAA data, showing an average wait time of 10 minutes and 24 seconds
London Southend Airport now ranks second in the UK for the shortest delay times, according to data from the CAA.
An average wait time at the South Essex airport is 10 minutes and 24 seconds, only beaten by Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
This outperforms other London airports and the UK national average wait time, which sits at 14 minutes and 54 seconds.
The top 10 rankings puts Southend 30 seconds ahead of Aberdeen airport, and 2 minutes ahead of Heathrow.
Jude Winstanley, CEO of London Southend Airport, said: “The national average for delays sits at 14 minutes and 54 seconds. London Southend Airport’s performance was more than four minutes better than the UK average, a result every single member of our team should feel proud of.
