Essex Police are appealing information and witnesses following a fatal collision on the M11

Officers were called to the southbound carriageway between Junction 7 (Harlow) and Junction 6 (M25 Interchange) shortly before 1 a.m. on Wednesday, 4 February, following reports of a single-vehicle accident.

A red Audi A3 had left the road and overturned. Despite the efforts of first responders, a woman in her 40s from London was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other occupants, a man and a woman, were seriously injured and remain in hospital.

The southbound carriageway was temporarily closed to allow emergency services to operate safely but has since reopened.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information or footage of the incident to contact them.
