Greggs store badly damaged in Tilbury crash
Essex Police have started an investigation into suspected criminal damage
A Greggs bakery in Tilbury has been badly damaged after a car crashed into the front of the store.
Essex Police believe what happened in Calcutta Road at around 11pm last night (Friday 23rd October 2026) may have been deliberate criminal damage.
Footage viewed by officers shows people at the scene but does not identify the vehicle involved.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to assist with their investigation.
