Police name elderly couple who died in Great Totham house
86-year-old Bryan Freeman and 84-year-old Gloria Freeman died at the scene earlier this week
Police have confirmed the names of two people in their 80s who died in a house in Great Totham on Monday.
Emergency services were called to an address in Catchpole Lane at around 8.45am to reports that an elderly man and woman had been found with injuries.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, both 86-year-old Bryan Freeman and 84-year-old Gloria Freeman died at the scene.
Police say enquiries into their deaths remain ongoing at this time.
Detective Inspector Tim Coyles, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “My thoughts and the thoughts of everyone at Essex Police remain with the Freemans family and friends.
“I’d also ask that the family’s privacy is respected at this incredibly challenging time.
“At this stage we don’t believe anyone else is involved and we’re not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
“We’re still asking anyone who hasn’t spoken to us and has information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage to get in touch.
“And if you have any concerns, please come and speak to our officers.”
