Gallows Corner to fully re-open following over a year of closures
The intersection was only meant to be closed for 3 months
Gallows Corner is set to re-open later this month after being shut for over a year.
Transport for London has confirmed that the roundabout and flyover will fully re-open in all directions.
All diversions and traffic management are set to be removed.
The authority will be closing the intersection for one full weekend to reinstate the road surface, road markings and street furniture, before it re-opens fully to the public.
The A12 and A127 are linked by this roundabout and flyover, forming a key connection point between Essex and London.
Initial plans would have seen the area re-open after just three months. However delays caused closures for over a year.
Major water infrastructure work is now complete, and TFL has said the roundabout and flyover will fully re-open by the end of September.
