Fire destroys workshops containing vehicles in Great Totham
Firefighters have been working through the night
Essex fire crews have worked through the night to tackle a fire affecting agricultural workshops in Great Totham.
The blaze broke out on Scraley Road at around 11pm on Sunday (12 April). Firefighters arrived to find workshops measuring approximately 60 metres by 20 metres, containing cylinders and vehicles, engulfed in flames.
Station Manager Scott Fretton said: "Crews worked really hard to surround the fire and stop it from spreading. They worked through the night to extinguish the fire, replaced by relief crews at around 3am.
"We have scaled down the incident to two crews who will continue to dampen down and check for hotspots."
An investigation will be carried out later today to establish the cause.
