Reform UK now has majority control of Essex County Council, as final results have been confirmed.
They control 53 of the 77 declared seats and have taken control of the council from the Conservative Party.
The Tories have 13 seats, followed by the Liberal Democrats with 5.
Labour ended the count with just one seat in Colchester Abbey.
The Green Party also registered one seat in Braintree Eastern.
At the start of the day, Nigel Farage said that the best was yet to come for his party and he said he was "supremely confident" of their chances.
Despite losses across Essex, the Conservative Party leader and North West Essex MP Kemi Badenoch said that the party will "come back", as she heralded the party's success in Harlow.
Results are still coming down, with Thurrock expected to be another strong result for Reform UK.
They have also gained ground in areas like Southend, Rochford, and Basildon, amongst others.
The count for the Chelmsford Springfield division has been postponed until June.
