Second arrest made and vehicle recovered in Essex murder probe
Essex Police continue their investigation after young man’s death
Essex Police have made a second arrest and recovered a vehicle in connection as part of murder investigation following the death of a man in his 20s.
The investigation began after the man was found with serious injuries in a Hertfordshire car park on 22nd June.
Despite receiving medical treatment, he died on 26th June, and his death is being treated as murder.
Two individuals have been arrested so far.
A 24-year-old man from London was arrested on 26th June and subsequently released on bail.
A 17-year-old boy, also from London, was arrested on 30th June and has been released on bail.
An MG ZS vehicle, initially sought after as part of the investigation, has also been located following a public appeal.
Detective Chief Inspector Greg Wood of Essex Police expressed the importance of swift progress in the investigation.
“Our work has progressed quickly since the man was found with significant injuries in Hertfordshire.
"Two arrests have been made, and the MG vehicle, which is a key element of the investigation, has been found thanks to members of the public coming forward.
“At the heart of this investigation is a man whose family continue to grieve for him, and they continue to be supported by our specialist liaison officers.”
