An Essex-based business is relocating temporarily following a fire and explosion at a farm in Essex.
Sam Dimond, business owner of Spotlight Sound, was informed of the fire by a colleague just before 5:00 PM on the previous night.
Flames erupted from a nearby business unit on the farm where Spotlight Sound is located.
According to Dimond, the fire brigade arrived promptly, managing to evacuate the site before an explosion occurred.
Dimond was able to visit the site later in the evening, noting the heavy traffic and police cordon in place.
Spotlight Sound is currently operating from temporary premises in Chelmsford provided by Hylands Park, allowing business to continue with minimal disruption.
Support has been widespread, with other businesses offering equipment and services to Spotlight Sound.
Dimond expressed gratitude for the backing received from industry colleagues and local emergency services.
The farm remains cordoned off as investigations continue.
Around 20 firefighters sustained injuries, and the toll on nearby homes and businesses has been serious, with many evacuated.
