Elderly man killed in Clacton collision

An elderly man has died following a collision in Clacton.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after the man, in his 80s, was hit by a white car outside the One Stop Store on St Johns Road shortly before 3.45pm on Tuesday (24 February).

He was taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries, where he sadly died.

In a statement, Essex Police said: "If you have any information, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us."
