A dispersal order has been enforced in Southend by local authorities in response to concerns over anti-social behaviour.

The order covers the designated area as shown on the provided map and empowers officers to direct individuals engaged in or likely to engage in disruptive activities to vacate the vicinity.

Effective immediately, the dispersal order will remain active until 6.38 pm on Wednesday, 24th June.

Inspector Penny McQuade commented on the matter, saying, “The order means we can quickly deal with anyone who’s not behaving. Southend is a family resort, and large groups can be loud and disruptive. We won’t allow a tiny minority to spoil the atmosphere for everyone else who wants to enjoy the city.”
