Detectives investigating after two people in their 80s found dead in Great Totham house
The pair were found injured yesterday afternoon but were pronounced dead at the scene
Police are investigating the deaths of two people found at an address in Great Totham.
Emergency services responded on Monday 22nd June to reports of a man and a woman in their 80s found injured at a property in Catchpole Lane at approximately 8:45am.
Despite efforts by paramedics, they both died at the scene.
Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding their deaths are ongoing but at this stage police say they are not looking for anyone else.
Detective Inspector Tim Coyles, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, commented on the case:
“My thoughts, and those of my team, are with the family and friends of the man and woman.
“I know this incident will cause concern and distress to those who live in the area. A team of experienced and specialist officers and staff are investigating what has happened.
“At this stage we don’t believe anyone else is involved and we’re not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
“If you live in the area, you will see a police presence in the following days.
“If you have any concerns or have any information please come and speak to our officers.”
Authorities are appealing for anyone with information, visuals such as CCTV, or dash cam footage related to this case to come forward.
