Construction worker dies on Essex site
A builder has died after serious injuries suffered on a building site in West Bergholt
Essex Police were called to a report of an incident in Colchester Road, West Bergholt, at just after 11am yesterday (Monday 7 April).
It involved a man who was working at the site sustaining a serious injury.
The ambulance service and fire service were also called the scene in an attempt to save his life.
Sadly, the man, aged in his 40s, died at the scene.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers at this difficult time.
An investigation has been launched and is being led by Essex Police with support from the Health and Safety Executive
Essex Police will be present at the location over the coming days to continue enquiries.
