14-year-old charged with stealing cars and driving whilst disqualified in Colchester
The boy faces multiple charges and is being held in custody until a hearing in January
A teenage boy from Colchester has been charged after investigations into a series of car thefts and driving offences in the town.
The 14-year-old was arrested on 5th December in relation to incidents that occurred in November.
He has been charged with:
Two counts of aggravated vehicle taking
One count of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent
One count of failing to stop when directed
Two counts of driving without insurance
Two counts of driving while disqualified
The boy is currently being held in custody and is set to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on 9th January.
