Essex Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Clacton on Sunday, where two people were assaulted.

Officers responded to reports of a car stolen from within the driveway of a home on Vista Road shortly before 11.45am on 26th April.

It was later discovered that two suspects had forced entry to the property, assaulted a man and woman, and fled with jewellery and a vehicle.

The stolen vehicle, identified as a grey Honda CR-V VTEC with registration LM06 FHC, may have damage to the front driver’s side door and window.

The victims are now receiving hospital treatment for their injuries, which have been confirmed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

Some members of the public intervened at the scene, and the jewellery is believed to have been recovered.

One suspect is described as a white man with grey stubble, was seen fleeing on foot, dressed in all black.

The second suspect drove away in the stolen vehicle.

Police arrived within minutes and are carrying out enquiries across the Clacton area, urging anyone with information or footage from doorbell cameras, CCTV, or dashcams to come forward.
