Delivery driver threatened with knife in robbery in Chelmsford

Knife-wielding suspects stole parcels from van on Chelmerton Avenue

Police are seeking information following the robbery of a delivery driver in Chelmsford earlier today.

The incident occurred on Chelmerton Avenue at around 10.45am this morning (18th December).

Three suspects approached the driver of a DPD van in a car, with one of them reportedly armed with a knife.

The victim was threatened before several parcels were stolen from the van. The suspects then left in the direction of Baddow Road.

The suspects’ vehicle is believed to have been a silver Toyota Prius.

Two individuals who exited the car were described as wearing black hooded jackets, grey jogging bottoms, and black ski masks. One of the suspects is thought to be approximately 5ft 8in tall.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with relevant doorbell or dashcam footage, to assist their enquiries.
