A man suffered a wound to his arm in Colchester with police issuing an appeal for information.

The incident took place at about 8pm on Sunday 10 May.

Two men and one woman were asked to leave following an altercation and were followed out of the store by the cashier.

The cashier was then physically assaulted.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and is continuing his recovery at home.

DC Hannah Richardson, of Colchester CID, is leading our investigation.

She said: “We know this was witnessed by several people passing by, and I’d urge those people to please come forward. Equally, we’d urge residents and businesses in the area to please review their CCTV, doorbell and dashcam to check if it has captured anything which could help our investigation.”

DC Richardson added: “The victim in this case was simply at work, doing his job when he sustained this injury. This will not be tolerated and we’re doing everything we can to identify this man and those he was with.”
