Busiest month ever recorded for Stansted Airport
The Essex airport has seen an over 6% increase in passenger numbers
London Stansted Airport has recorded their busiest month ever as they saw over 3.1 million passengers in July.
This was an over 6% increase on July last year and the total sets a new all-time monthly record for the airport.
It overtakes the previous high of August 2025.
The airport's rolling annual passenger total now stands at 30.5 million, which is an increase of 1.8% on the last 12 months.
The airport also saw daily passenger numbers top 100,000 on 18 days during July, the most in any individual month at Stansted.
The most popular destinations in July were Istanbul, Dublin, and Majorca.
