Bus crashes into bridge in Kirby Cross
Its roof was ripped off yesterday afternoon
A double-decker bus has crashed into a bridge in Kirby Cross, ripping its roof off in the process.
Police were called to reports of a collision involving a bus on Holland Road at around 3.55pm yesterday (Wednesday 8 January).
The bus, which had no passengers on board, had been in collision with a bridge.
Officers from North Roads Policing attended, rail services were disrupted while the bridge was assessed for damage the bus was recovered but trains are running again.
No-one was injured, but the driver of the bus has been reported for driving offences.
