Three charged after drug supply and false imprisonment investigation in Brentwood
Police received reports that a victim was falsely imprisoned and threatened with a firearm over a drug debt
Three people have been charged following an investigation into suspected drug supply and false imprisonment in Brentwood.
The investigation focused on a heroin and crack cocaine network believed to be operating in the area.
Reports indicated that a victim was falsely imprisoned and threatened with a firearm over a drug debt.
Officers then raided a property in Alfred Road on 5th February.
Seven people were arrested, and suspected crack cocaine, multiple phones, knives, and a knuckle duster were recovered.
Karim Ali, 37, from London, faces charges including possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, false imprisonment, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and criminal damage.
Martin Bellett, 47, from Brentwood, is charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, false imprisonment, and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
Leonard Liverpool, 61, from London, is accused of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, false imprisonment, possession of an offensive weapon in public, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and criminal damage.
In addition, four individuals, including two women and two men, have been arrested on suspicion of drug supply offenses and remain on bail.
