Boy, 16, killed in Ongar collision as three teenagers arrested
A 19 year-old man and two boys aged 15 and 17 – have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving
Police have arrested three teenagers following a fatal collision in Ongar where a 16 year-old boy has died.
Officers were called shortly before 12.20am today (Thursday 26 June) to a report of a car found in a ditch having left Blake Hall Road.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, a 16 year-old boy died at the scene.
Specialist officers are now supporting his family.
The force are working to establish what led up to the collision including who was driving the vehicle at the time.
As part of enquiries three teenagers – a 19 year-old man and two boys aged 15 and 17 – have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
They were all taken to hospital but are not seriously injured and are currently in custody.
