Basildon man due in court on knife and drugs possession offences
It's after a stop and search
A Basildon man has been charged with possession of a knife and possession with cannabis, after his arrest by neighbourhood policing officers.
Rhys Dursely, 19, of Shepeshall, was arrested in Bardfield earlier this month, after a stop and search.
He is due to appear before the town’s magistrates on 3 July.
Stop and search
Police have this guidance: "We know the idea of a stop and search can feel intimidating and inconvenient. But to keep our communities safe from serious harm, particularly crimes involving drugs and weapons, it’s important we have the power to stop and search people.
