The Tarpots Junction on the A13 is set to fully reopen by midnight tonight, completing works two weeks ahead of schedule.

Cadent and their contractors, Forefront, have successfully finished the required works at the site near Benfleet.

Although the Benfleet High Road junction will maintain a lane closure from Rileys to Marleys, the Tarpots Junction itself will see all lanes open by tonight.

Earlier today, I visited the site to thank the workers with cold water bottles and was informed by the site manager of the good news.

The trenches have already been backfilled, set, and painted, and the road will undergo jet washing.

Plans are in place to dismantle the traffic management system tonight to ensure the reopening stays on track.

This swift completion of work is promising news for road users in the area.
