Brian wrote: 'I have the POWER!!!! Great joy to work tonight on scrumptious brand-new HE-MAN movie with (L-R) Director Travis Knight, Composer Daniel Pemberton, and chief sound man Sam Okell – pictured here with our family’s (actually Jimmy’s) vintage He-Man action figure collection from … oooh, about 1986, I guess.

'What fun! And this movie will make a lot of people smile a lot!!! And – yes – my ol’ Red Special is all over it!!! Watch out!!! Bri.' (sic)

Based on the Masters of the Universe media franchise by Mattel, Masters of the Universe hits cinemas on 5th June 2026, 39 years after the first movie adaptation of the same name.

A synopsis reads: 'In Masters of the Universe, Director Travis Knight brings the legendary franchise back to the big screen in this epic live-action adventure.

'After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto).

'To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.'

Brian has a rich history of making movie soundtracks, having recorded the ‘Flash Gordon’ album with Queen back in 1980.
