A woman has died after being hit by a car in Edinburgh.

It happened just after 11pm on Monday on the A90 near the Kirkliston slip road at Cramond Bridge.

Emergency crews have said the 36-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and no one else was hurt.

Sergeant Michael Thomson, of Road Policing East, said: ā€œOur thoughts remain with the family and friends of the woman who died at this difficult time.

ā€œI am appealing to anyone who was driving in the area at the time and witnessed the crash to come forward with information.

ā€œI’d also ask that those with dash-cam footage review this to see if it has captured anything of significance.ā€

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3646 of 2 February, 2026.
