Teen charged with attempted murder following Kirkcaldy park attack
An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following a serious assault on a 16-year-old boy in Kirkcaldy’s Ravenscraig Park.
The incident took place on Friday, 25 April, and left the teenage victim requiring treatment at Victoria Hospital after being attacked.
A 14-year-old boy has also been charged with assault in connection with the same incident.
Police say the case was reported to them on Tuesday, 29 April, and that enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
The 18-year-old is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday, 1 May.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
