Man killed in hit and run in West Lothian
Police searching for a grey Renault Clio after death on Linlithgow Main Street
A man's been killed in a hit and run in West Lothian.
A 48-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car on Main Street in Linlithgow shortly after midnight.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin have been made aware.
Police are now trying to trace those who were in the grey Renault Clio which struck the man and then fled scene.
Inspector Thomas Mallinson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died.
“We are carrying out extensive inquiries to establish the full circumstances of this crash and trace the occupants of the car.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what happened to contact police.
“In addition, anyone with dash-cam footage from around the time of the incident is asked to get in touch as this may be able to assist our investigation.”
