Man, 73, in serious condition following two-car crash in Larbert

A 73-year-old man is in a serious but stable condition in hospital following a two car crash in Larbert.

He was driving a Peugeot 300 on the A9, Stirling Road, on Wednesday around 1.40pm when it collided with a Nissan Qashqai.

The driver, a 61-year-old woman, was also taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital but later released.

The road was closed and reopened about 3pm.

Police appeal for witnesses

Sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick said ā€œAs our enquiries continue to establish the circumstances surrounding this crash, I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

ā€œIf you were in the area of Stirling Road, Larbert, around the time of the crash, or if you have any dashcam footage, please contact us as soon as possible.

ā€œInformation can be passed to officers through 101 quoting incident number 1754 of Wednesday, 21 February.ā€
