There is growing concern for a 60-year old Edinburgh woman who has been missing since Monday.

The last confirmed sighting of Alison Gibbens was on North Gyle Avenue at 10.30am.

However, police have said it is also possible she was then in the Cramond area in the afternoon.

She has a slim build, brown hair and was wearing a black jacket and scarf.

Inspector Caroline Herbert said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Alison and enquiries to trace her are ongoing.

“We are appealing to anyone who was in the Whitehouse Road area on Monday afternoon who may have seen someone matching Alison’s description to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with private CCTV or motorists with dash-cam footage which could assist our enquiries to please come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1103 of 26 January.
