Public health officials in North East Lincolnshire have issued urgent advice after a series of overdoses over the weekend that are believed to be linked to a dangerous drug.
Emergency services were called to several addresses in Grimsby following reports of four individuals found unresponsive.
The drug circulating in the area is suspected of causing sudden and life-threatening overdoses.
Geoff Barnes, Deputy Director of Public Health for Northern Lincolnshire, addressed the community saying:
“We know that there’s some harmful drugs circulating in the Grimsby area. These drugs can cause a very sudden overdose which can be life threatening. It’s really important to follow the advice issued to protect both yourself and your friends.”
