Two boys in school uniform were spotted driving a van in Grimsby
Two arrests have been made following reports of two boys in school uniform driving a suspected stolen van in Grimsby.
Police were called out to Durban Road at around 1.05pm yesterday.
After being deployed, officers spotted the van on Weelsby Road in Cleethorpes.
They attempted to pull it over but the driver allegedly failed to stop and drove away 'erratically'.
It eventually stopped on Humberston Road, at the junction of Clarence Avenue, and two teenagers attempted to run away before being arrested.
The arrests
A 13-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of:
- three counts of theft of a motor vehicle
- theft from a shop
- dangerous driving
- failing to stop
- driving without a licence
- and driving without insurance
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of:
- two counts of theft of a motor vehicle
They're both on bail as investigations continue.
