Two teenage boys arrested after police car chase in Cleethorpes
A 16 and 15-year-old boy have been arrested
Two teenage boys have been arrested after a police car chase in Cleethorpes in the early hours of this morning (7 July).
Officers spotted a vehicle being driven suspiciously in the North Sea Lane area at around 2.30am.
They requested the vehicle to stop, but the driver reportedly drove off at speed, driving on the wrong side of the road.
The vehicle eventually came to a stop on Chelmsford Avenue in Grimsby, and the driver and passenger allegedly ran from it.
Officers spotted them both nearby and arrested them.
The driver, a 16-year-old boy, has now been arrested on suspicion of:
- dangerous driving
- failing to stop
- theft of a motor vehicle
- driving without insurance
- driving without a licence
- and burglary
The passenger, a 15-year-old boy, has been arrested on suspicion of:
- burglary
- and two counts of assault of an emergency worker
