Teenager arrested after group throw fireworks in Hull
Police say a group of teenagers were reportedly throwing fireworks in the street
A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after reports of teenagers throwing fireworks in Bransholme in Hull just before 7pm last night (26th October).
Police say the group were allegedly setting off fireworks on Dalwood Close.
An officer was reportedly assaulted while making an arrest, but was not seriously injured.
A small amount of suspected class B drugs was also found after searching the teenager.
A Humberside police spokesperson said, "A teenage boy has been arrested after we were called to reports of a group of teenagers throwing what were believed to be fireworks on Bransholme in Hull just before 7pm yesterday evening (Sunday, 26 October 2025).
"It is reported a group of teenagers were allegedly throwing fireworks in the street on Dalwood Close. Thankfully, no one was injured, and no properties are believed to have been damaged as a result.
"Officers were swiftly deployed and whilst attempting to detain a teenager believed to be involved in the reports, an officer was reportedly assaulted. Thankfully, the officer was not seriously injured as a result.
"Following a subsequent search of the teenager, a small quantity of what is believed to be class B drugs was also discovered.
"A 14-year-old boy has since been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker, possession of class B drugs, and attempting to possess with intent to supply class B drugs.
"He remains in police custody assisting with ongoing enquiries at this time."
