Two teenage boys have been arrested after Humberside Police officers spotted a suspected stolen vehicle on the Humber Bridge.

The car reportedly failed to stop when requested to do so by officers on Friday 27 March, resulting in a short pursuit. When the vehicle finally came to a stop on the A15, it was reported the occupants fled the scene on foot to try and evade arrest.

Police dogs and roads policing officers pursued them and two suspects that matched their description were located in a field nearby.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, failing to stop and dangerous driving.

A second 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary, dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

Both have since been released on conditional bail whilst enquiries are ongoing.
