Teenager faces charges after park incident in Hedon

A teenager has been charged in connection with an incident at Drapers Lane Park in Hedon on Friday, 12th June 2026.

The 16-year-old boy faces charges of non-fatal strangulation, robbery, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Due to his age, he cannot be named and has been remanded into custody.

The incident is believed to have started when the teenager approached another boy, thought to be known to him, before allegedly assaulting him and trying to steal his motorbike.
