A man has been charged after officers from the Roads Policing Team conducted a vehicle stop on Beverley Road, Hull, at approximately 8.30pm on Friday (23 January 2026).

Hussain Mardan, 18-years-old, of Stromness Way, Hull, has been charged with driving whilst disqualified and using a motor vehicle on a road without third‑party insurance.

He has been remanded to appear at Hull Magistrates’ Court at a later date.

It was reported that officers spotted a vehicle driving through a red traffic light, after which the driver was requested to stop.

Police then discovered what are believed to be Class A drugs, along with a quantity of cash, during a search of the vehicle.

Two 17‑year‑old boys were also arrested at the scene and have since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
