Object suspected as ordnance at Bridlington South Beach

Coastguard and disposal team responded quickly to reports

On Sunday, 31st May, HM Coastguard responded to reports of a suspected ordnance at Bridlington South Beach.

The Bridlington Coastguard Rescue Team was alerted at approximately 2:10pm and deployed to maintain public safety at a distance.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was sent to assess the situation.

Upon examination, the EOD team confirmed the object was not ordnance, ensuring safety by removing it from the beach.

Humber Police were made aware of the situation throughout the response.

The successful cooperation ensured public safety and swift resolution of the incident.
