Police investigate two-vehicle collision on A180

Police are investigating a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A180 at around 5pm on Friday, 16 January 2026.

It is reported a grey Hyundai and blue Citroen were in collision on the A180 eastbound, between Stallingborough Interchange and Great Coates junctions in Immingham which, for reasons not yet clear, resulted in the Hyundai leaving the carriageway and colliding with a tree.

Emergency services attended and the driver of the Hyundai, a 65-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

The driver of the Citroen, a 56-year-old man, was also taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses, dashcam footage, or anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision, and has not yet spoken to them, to please call 101, quoting log 385 of 16 January.
