Police and council tackle anti-social behaviour in Grimsby
Partnership focuses on town centre safety
Humberside Police and North East Lincolnshire Council have joined forces to enhance safety in Grimsby town centre by addressing anti-social behaviour (ASB).
During three days of proactive operations, teams patrolled Victoria Street, St James Square, and Riverhead Square, issuing numerous warnings and fines.
Participants included the Council’s ASB team, Humberside Police officers, and the Waste Investigations Support & Enforcement (WISE) team.
Efforts resulted in multiple CPWs, CPNs, PSPO dispersals, and stop searches yielding Class B and C drugs.
Council member James Sawkins praised the operation's success, highlighting the commitment to reducing ASB.
Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Kieran Taylor emphasised ongoing collaboration with local businesses and community groups to strengthen safety.
Residents are encouraged to report concerns anonymously via Crimestoppers or the non-emergency number.
