Cannabis farm with over 500 plants found in Scunthorpe industrial unit

A cannabis farm with over 500 plants has been found at an industrial unit in Scunthorpe.

Officers raided the unit on Northampton Road last Thursday (30 April) following reports from concerned residents.

Over 500 cannabis plants and a drying room with cannabis, which was in the final stage of preparation before distribution, was found.

Nobody was found at the site, but evidence of people staying there was.

Investigators are searching for those responsible.

A Humberside Police spokesperson said, "We will continue working with community members to target criminality in your community and make it an uncomfortable place for people who commit crime to operate in.

"Whilst you may not always see immediate action, the information you provide is crucial in allowing all our neighbourhood policing teams build the bigger picture around offending, stack up the evidence, and ultimately hold those responsible for their actions."
