Men arrested over early morning incidents in Hull

20 year old and 33 year old detained over separate incidents

Two men have been arrested after separate incidents overnight in Hull (Thursday 4th June).

The first just before 1am on Princes Avenue involved a man who threatening shop staff.

Multiple police departments responded to reports from shop security.

A Police Dog Unit was deployed to challenge the suspect.

Following the intervention of the police dog, Armed Response Officers helped secure a 33 year old man on suspicion of assault and using threatening behaviour to cause harassment, alarm, or distress.

The man remains in custody assisting with enquiries.

Whilst at around 2.40am, police were called to a disturbance on Ferensway, where a man had smashed a window at a business premises and threatened security staff.

Although no injuries were reported, damage was caused to the property.

Officers quickly arrived at the scene and arrested a man aged 20 on suspicion of criminal damage, he also remains in custody as investigations continue.
