A Moulton man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for multiple sexual offences against two girls, committed over a span of decades.

Stuart Wright, 72, of Broad Lane, was found guilty at Lincoln Crown Court after the victims, previously unknown to each other, courageously reported their experiences.

The court learned of the long-lasting impact of these offences spanning more than 20 years.

The first victim disclosed her experiences from 2017 to 2020, while the second victim reported offences dating nearly 30 years prior, between 1997 and 2000.

Investigation and Support

Detectives conducted an exhaustive investigation, gathering evidence despite the time elapsed since some offences took place.

Both women received support from Specialist Sexual Violence Advisers throughout the investigation and trial.

Detective Sergeant Katherine Brennan, who led the investigation, thanked the detectives and police staff for their contributions to bringing Wright to justice.

She acknowledged the immense bravery exhibited by the survivors in coming forward and hoped the sentence brings them a measure of justice.

Encouragement to Seek Support

Authorities continue to urge individuals who have experienced sexual abuse, whether recent or historical, to come forward for support.

Victims can report incidents to the police or reach out to various supporting organisations for assistance.

Lincolnshire Police has resources available for those requiring guidance and support after such experiences.
